Description
This stackable tableware set transforms a complete table setting into a decorative object. When assembled, its bowls, plates and serving pieces form the silhouette of a traditional Asian vessel; once separated, the restrained exterior gives way to a continuous illustrated world.
Created in collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, Eden reveals an enchanted garden filled with mysterious golden fruit and tiny white butterflies. Bodies, fruit and foliage overlap across the pieces, creating a sensual landscape that only becomes complete when the tableware is opened.
Designed for display as well as dining, the set can stand as a sculptural object between meals before opening to serve the table. It is a characteristic example of ibride's ability to place narrative and surprise inside a practical household object.
