Description

L' Agneau is part of ibride's Galerie de Portraits, a collection in which Rachel Convers reimagines classical European portraiture through poetic and unexpected characters. L'Agneau embodies the lamb's innocence within the moral world of La Fontaine's fables. Its vulnerable presence is set against the ambition and cruelty of an imagined court, giving the portrait a beauty sharpened by unease.

The tray is designed to move between function and art. Use it for serving, then display it on the wall like a contemporary portrait. Its satin surface gives depth to the illustration while retaining the practical qualities of an everyday tray. A wall fixing is included.

Many portraits from the collection have become collectible as individual designs and editions are retired. Occasionally, ibride revisits a character in a new composition or with a different decorative border, identified as a later edition such as No. 2. Discontinued editions are no longer manufactured and are increasingly sought by collectors looking for particular characters from the series.
